With sky releasing new viewing cards, dose anyone know if the old ones will still work for FTV channels

If its anything like 5/6 years ago the old cards will be cancelled.

I thought that I read somewhere madrat that a new card is guranteed to work for a certain period (2 yrs????) if not they send another, worth checking as I know you didn't buy it that long ago.

Well that covers the one I use in the office and take in the caravan but the one in the bedroom came with the box off ebay.

how will this work with Setanta will they continue to use the old cards or will they send me a new 1

Will setanta be contacting their subscribers? or will they assume Sky will take care of us?

If you got your card from Sky, then you will need to contact them, if you got your card from Setanta direct, then you will need to pester them for a replacement. But don't contact them yet, any card swap will take some time to complete

Hi there, excuse me Im totally new here,

so is there some softcams that I can upload onto my technomate 5400, that would allow me access to the channels on the Astra 2 satellite 28E?

All the other posts talk of patches for Hotbird 13E and others...

If the system is not compromised why would Sky go to the expense and bother of changing the card?
