Default ambit 255 connection problems

hello ive just bought a modded modem with infinate software off a guy i know.....he said it should work straight away.ive plugged it in using e'net cable and connected it to my cable feed....only 2 light come on power and e'net but computer says connected to the internet(local only),but i cant open any webpages at all.ive read a couple of posts and can access the 192 page but am not too sure what im looking at??also im not to sure if my cable feed is still live, but when i connect to my tv i can still recieve the free to air channels so im guessing it is.should any other lights be coming on or whats my problem??ive paid 80 notes for this and now trying to ring this guy but to no avail!what am i doing wrong or was i just conned?

any info or help would be smashing

post what you have in page 192. go to connection tab-in startup procedur you should have in comments-locked, operational, operational and cm reg No"(varies with area)". If you have feed this will show in SNR ans will prob be above 30dB.Also what area are you in?

Edit: Just seen your name so I guess N.Ireland?

Prob the MAC needs changing or settings wrong. If you have either Ambit tool or 250 config tool(both in downloads) get settings from that and post up DS Freq and TFTP IP. Have you a subbed modem to sniff for MACs to try?

I thought the user/pass was Infinate/SetValue (case sensitive)
