hi all. been having a bit of trouble with this for a while and i cant understand whats wrong. ive tried aligning the dish to get the best signal to 10803H to get the best signal from the BBC transponder but im still not picking them up. ive got a signal strength of about 76%. same with the 10832H transponder for ITV. Ive got a Technomate 9100 super with Traix 88cm dish and mti LNB. any ideas what i can do?

Are you sure you are on 28.2 Maybe a short list of some of the channels you are getting inc. frequencies would confirm which sat you are on. Or what channels are you getting on the specified frequencies.

Yes quite a few of the transponders on 19e match those on 28e

im sure im on 28.2e cos ive had it pointed on 19e before. im getting channel 4 and alot of the sky channels on the 28.2e. getting music channels like scuzz, kerang etc

Ok what about other transponders ? have you tried 10788 V for bbc ? Chanel 4 is on a vertical transponder, whereas the two you listed for bbc and itv are horizontal. If you can get bbc on 10788 V it could be the lnb skew isn't quite right or the lnb is faulty and won't switch to horizontal polarisation.

ive checked and i am getting channels on H and V. could the lnb skew be out then cos the most i could get was 76% on the signal

I think I would try tweaking the dish slightly, on a td 88 you should be able to max the signal bars on Astra 2, you could try tweaking the lnb skew slightly.

on the bbc and itv transponder the most i could get was 76% one some of the other transponders im getting 90%+. sometimes i did get it more than 76% but the signal kept going down to 14% then 76% reapeatedly.

Have you checked the basics, like the cable is all undamaged and there isn't anything partially blocking the dish like a tree ? Might seem really obvious. Also it's the signal quality that really matters, what is this like ? As I get around 70% signal strength when the dish is pointed at the floor.

the qualtiy is in the 70% to. there doesnt seem to be anything blocking the view because the angle of the arm goes pass the house infront. and the dish is on the chimney so its high enough
