Virgin remote control sound buttons not working

Hi,

We've got a Samsung vbox and an LG Flatron TV.

Recently the volume keys on the virgin remote control have made no difference to the sound however the remote control does everything else it used to.

I've tried rebooting it, looking at the audio settings, looking on google...

Any ideas? If you need any more info please ask.

Its something to do with the scart socket or the setup your using. With my setup the volume doesnt work when on AV1,it moves up & down but doesn't make any difference to the sound. When on AV2 it works fine.
Are you connected through another device ,dvd recorder,video recorder ect?

I had problems with my remote when my LG47" had the 'Intelligent Sensor' turned on, It detects how bright room is etc

you need to go on the interactive button it on one of the settings.you search for your tv in a list.it gives a code.once found the code right them all down.to input it you need to hold volume up and mute till the light flashes.enter the code you get 3 lights flash to confirm then hey presto.

I've reinserted the scart to both the tv and vbox and tried on AV1 and AV2. AV2 gives no input, AV1 as explained above.

I'm not sure where'd I'd go to check this? I'm not convinced the tiny 20 something inch has this.

I've pressed the interactive button but all I see is news, lotto results etc. Not sure where to go from here...

It basically was fine until one of my housemates has dicked around with it and now the volume is only controllable using the TVs remote and not both as before.

Is the tv volume set high enough, he might have turned it right down then the volume on the cable box wont make any difference.

Yep, the TV volume is set so I can hear it. It's annoying that the virgin control doesn't make any difference to this volume though like it did before.

Worth another reboot? Was holding down the power button the right method as previsously attempted.

If the other buttons are working must be set, do the volume buttons on the box work ? i suppose you have gone into audio settings ?

The vbox is a Samsung SMT-2110T and none of the buttons alter the volume. I've gone into both the audio settings on using the virgin control and using the LG remote control.

In audio settings on box is it set to 10 , you havnt got it muted ? if box buttons dont work either it must be something in settings, it might be an idea to try another scart lead otherwise.
