Hi guys, I have an ambit 250 here that i cannot get working. I have tried using hyperterminal and 250 configurator and also tried reflashing the bootloader but everything i try keeps coming back with an error ie. connection error or cannot ip error. I was just wandering if the fact that the modem comes up with invalid ip something to do with this. I am using a max232 lead but cannot get anywhere with this modem i know the lead is working as i have already fixed a 250 but cant get anywhere with this 1. Any help would be much appreciated with this matter.

the best way is to use rc6 (other versions had bugs in them) any way you would use the g option which is run from memory and then don't reboot the modem go to the haxor web page and then use the backup firmware and then load the same haxor file that you just used and then upload it, this is the safest way to flash, if the flash goes wrong you won't lose the modem......
remember only rc6 works mate for being able to upload via the GUI. is your firewalls off and that when you select the board tftp server address 192.168.100.10 ? |

what do you mean connect to the net on 192.168.100.10 ?
You set your nic card to this so when you open tftp you can then send a file using hyper to the modem from your computer, then after you've done all above and done your settings are you safe to go and change the nic back to dhcp...... haxor web page is 192.168.100.1 yuo tell it this when your flashing it mate? |

so when you flashed haxor over to the modem you had your rs232 cable and the ethernet lead plugged in.....then you got the p option and selected download and run from memory?
hyper terminal would have showed you stuff as it was writing to the modem. then when it had finished it would have showed you "do you want to store paramters to flash" you select [n] then open internet explorer and type in 192.168.100.1 ? |
