Just came across this report, quite interesting. Dated Jan 2009.. sorry if its already on here couldn't find it on search.

it says one in five `Irish cable customers` everyone knows we dont use them in England cos we are law abiding !

all they have by releasing that report is compound the problem! anyone who has never heard of them or thought about having one will only have to google any of the names mentioned do a bit of research and a week later have a "dodgy box" all thanks to jan battles.

awrite guys well atleast the papers are good for something just giving a load of ppl the names and the places to buy them so good for them

and how many ppl in high up place do u think the have them or not ?

Come on, are they really naive enough to belive that folks'd actually pay that? It's the same with game and software piracy. They all quote a loss figure amounting to the number of illegal copies x a certain amount of money. Surely, it can't be proven that each and every person would have paid the full price, eh?

you have to laugh she says they are losing millions in revenue what the T**t cant see is they will lose even more when they start trying to kill boxes and mods, most people will migrate to sky !
what a stupid moron of a reporter obviously she des not do the cutting edge stuff.
I bet the Editor cleared his throat when reading her `proof` knowing his little kiddies were at home watching free kids progs on his `Dodgy box` .

I bet VM are using the Times now for Employees as bog paper !

I don't class these "dodgey boxes" illegal as the cable/satellite companies charge ridiculous prices so that we are able to watch there channels. And due to the current recession I don't think most people have enough money to be paying for these subscriptions (including myself) so I think that there will be an increase in the number of "dodgey boxes" usage.
