Default Haxoware questions

Hi guys Its Time !! I am shortly going to flash haxoware onto a 250 ambit and want to ask a couple of quick questions so thanks in advance for any help.
I have used configured flashed softjtaged many 250/5s with infinite in the past so know quite a lot about the process of downloading firmware ect.

ok
1.
I have softjatgged a 250 back to to life using `exploit`. and put the 2.16d bootloader back on it, then flashed it with infinite, so is that the original bootloader ?
and I have gathered I just flash Haxoware over Infinite! but not the full 2mb file ? so bootlader is intact if I fook up !.
2.
can someone tell me the correct Haxo file to flash to the modem so if muck up I still have the `P` option.
Thanks guys

same as 2mb method, just dont use a 2mb dump, use just the firmware.

then it will ask you where to store the firmware (rather than from what sector)

haxorware is crap firmware ive tried it and infinite and infinite is easy to set up

haxoware you gotta go in and put all settings in manually

where with infinite we have programs to configure it with ease

i would 100% recommend infinite

the firmware is far better, your only reasoning is that you dont know how to set it up.

you cant blame that on the firmware.

powerful tools arent easy to use, thats pretty generic in any field.

what concerns me the most is, hes selling on modems and boxes, but cant figure out haxorware or that its very more powerful (especially self signing certs with the new changes coming in).... thats not a good sign.

I have used infinite for well over a year and yes no probs really but I think a change is as good as a rest.
And one advantage I already see is when the b**GGers changed the tftp we had to scramble for the new one no such thing with hax so gotta be good.
Hey bad can you tell me the name of just the firmware I need so I know I have the right one ! and I have read your excellent tuts and posts and the are first rate mate thats why I am going for it.
Like you say in another post save to ram and try from there(option g i think ) see learning all the time !.
Thanks bad

running from ram only works for the 1.0 line of haxorware firmwares, with 1.1 there was some changes and it doesnt work like it used to (the haxorware html pages have to be on the flash, else the gui wont work, but via telnet/console will)

if you just do it like infinite, using the firmware from Haxorware, its around 1mb in size.

use the "d" option and write the firmware, long as you save to "1" you will be fine.. even if the firmware doesnt work you didnt erase the bootloader and will still have your "p" options.

this is why flashing 2mb dumps is a bad idea, it always messes with the bootloader and is an additional risk that really isnt required.
