Can any one tell me if macs sniffed with 10 miles from where I live with non-virgin (private company) work with my ambit 250 modem which I am going to use. Greatly appreciated to your helps. Many Thanks

Hi all,
I was following Haynes Cable Modem Guide Rev1.7.2 to flash my ambit250 to cut the story short:
after start hyperterminal and make new connection and choose option P and enter IP address 192.168.100.1 i follow all steps as instructions said by now a main menu come up option D was chosen after IP address 192.168.100.10 and 250hack_dump_telnet.bin were typed in it was supposed to flash up modem but it did not and now i got message it is disabled by vender, please any one can help me and be gentle as i am not a too technical person and new to this kind of thing, many thanks and greatly appreciated to you all.

Hi if you have a white cable and a modem and your using the 2 then it isnt non-vrigin its virgin !! have you set your ip in network connections to 192.168.100.10 and 192.168.100.1 and disabled all firewalls and antivirus??... and you've got the tftp32 open with it directed to the 250.bin file?

Hi and thanks to jayjay121, i beleived my ambit 250 is locked so i tried to unlock it ..i managed to SoftJtag to unlock it but during the process it creashed on me then i pressed disconnect on SoftJtag and removed power from modem after powered it back up now its network port seem not working any more it just could not connect to pc by saying ...network upplug... does that mean my modem now bricked ... need more help form expert and many thanks in advance

Ok ... hi all, I decided to bin the one I bricked and bye another ambit 250 with infinite firmware already flashed now I want to change macs which tool should I use below:

250_mac_changer_v1_1 OR
250_configurator

and if I use configurator do I just fill MAC Address ....and Config File... and leave the rest blank? Any advice is appreciated and thanksful

my advice is read the readme file that came with 250_configurator everything you need is in there.

You will need Microsoft .net version 2 and Visual J installed to run the 250_configurator
