Both data types use the same connector on the filter ntl provide (for splitting FM signals from TV & Digital Data) Provided she has TV, there is the connection right there for broadband too! (although you may be in need of a splitter to use the internet at the same time as the tv, unless you have another connection box in the house for tv/data - another room for example) Plug it in, as suggested above a mac change will be required, and voila!

So, perhaps see if your gf mum can get you a mac address from that area for it.

Unfortunately my knowledge of cable modems and their configuration etc, ends here. I only know of the information i gave you through reading other posts. I hope someone will be able to help you with mac editing, try looking for posts regarding modem config editing etc in the forum - i have seen similar posts with the information you will need.

Hi I think it was NTL cant say 100% when I set the modem up to the laptop all I got was the Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage screen nothing from VM at all.
Maybe its down to the mac on the modem as it looked odd to me |
