Ambit 250 message disable console output

Hi Guys

I am trying to flash my ambit 250 by following 250 guide to hacking. I have managed to do the first few set sucessfully however when I get to the point where I power up the modem I get the message Disable console output.

when I power up the modem I press 1 and then p straight after.

Any help as to what I am doing wrong will be greatly appreciated.

when I go to open the console unlocker v1.1b I get the message

Component 'MSWINSCK.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered, a file is missing or invalid.

Any help chaps?

Google that file download it and drag it to the program should get registered.

You most likely download the OCX file along with console unlocker, it just needs to be put in the same folder as console unlocker.

yes I had the same problem you need a couple of files to get the prog running.
pm me your addy and I will sort you out
just copy them to :
windows\system32
and that should sort it.

Thanks guys for you input, managed to download those file by searching on the internet.

I ran the execute exploit file and got a console should now be active message, I think it is.

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.
If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

I am concerned because in the guide I am using it says that I can brick my modem and I don't want to do that.

have you got vjredist.exe dotnetfx.exe installed


and mswinsck.ocx mscomm32.ocx comdlg32.ocx > into Copy to c\windows\system32

Sorry my last post was not very clear.

The console unlocker is working fine now but the problem is with the SoftJTAG programme. When I click connect to com 1, I get connecting to modem, connection established and then the error message from Microsoft NET framework saying
