Hi Red, if you use the Techie most then use it to drive the dish. With my Dreambox, I have Dreamview on the PC and that can be used to tell the Dreambox to move to a different satellite. I dont know if you can remotely control your Techie.

Which windoze operating system are you using? I find with my Vista that DVBDream gives the best results. If you have the linux Techie then you can share decryption with the SS2.

I have tried them all and DVBDream is my preferred prog for XP and Vista. AltDVB works well on XP although I feel that it is getting a bit old now and is not quite so good as DVBDream.

By all means try the others and let us know your own results. ProgDVB and the Technisat progs are regularly updated but after buying the Progdvb pro version I decided it was not so good for the HD channels.

I seem to bang this drum quite a lot but in my experience dvbviewer pro is the best (IMHO) sat viewer software out there, about 15 quid now due to the weak pound but i'd say it's worth it as the cracked versions out there seem to crash a lot...
Also HD is much better with dvbviewer in my experience (on vista)

Yes, I wasted £15 on it and finally decided I didn't think it was worth it.

Had a problem installing, it was saying i needed XP sp2 or above, as i have sp3 i went to microsoft updates thinking something is missing, after a scan it updated net framework 2 and 2.5, 3 and 3.5, that was all apparantly, i dont know what difference that should have made but after card installed ok, then after rebooting pc screen froze, nothing would work, booted up in safe mode and uninstalled card, still no good, tried uninstalling net framework but all i could uninstall in safe mode was 3.5, however that seemed to do the trick, reinstalled card and all ok.
