I know this is quite a big problem among lots of people,

I cannot get audio over HD via the ATI 4850 card into my Onkyo 606 amp

any ideas?

not sure if you have sorted this

but... I have the ATI 4850 to my HDTV. Not really had any problems but couple of things when i first setup:

1. you have gt to use the DVI-I to HDMI connector that comes with the card (has audio onboard)

2. Use the Audio Driver directly from Realtek.

thats my two penny's worth
