Default Eurovox ex5000...

hi guys. just bought the eurovox ex5000. i have been using the eurovox max for over a year with no problems. i have just plugged the ex5000 in and it was displaying the message 'no signal'. so i have tried the usual... menu - yellow button... to input the keys with no sucess.

i also tried... menu - ok - 1968... with no joy.

is there any other way to manually input the keys without flashing the box?

also this box was bought from techdna, could this be a clone?

thanks in advance!!

You should update your new box with the latest firmware, then do a Restore Factory Settings and try again. Menu/Config/Clear Data/Restore Factory Settings, and enter the Symbol Rate for your area before scanning.
Alternatively Google to find and download the chatterbox or wizardmods toolbars for what you need.

i have the same problem with my box when i set it up if your keys changed tou can still get free channels anyway also yo will not get message no signal because it is getting signal. try scannig agin first on your usual bart rate if no luck then try to scane on default bart rate as that was the problem with my box. my area bart rate was 6.887 and i try to scan on it and i was getting same message so i though either software or box is faulty, by mistake i scan on default bart rate and i got all the channels

Do a power scan mate. Make sure its plugged in the right port. Should be top corner on right if front of box is facing u.

I once bought from then and the EX5000 was a clone! How long have you had it? I recommend you factory reset the box and let them know that they have sent you a clone

you only do this temporarily if you are having problems scanning
you need to eliminate as much as you can in the equation, this means scanning directly off the incoming cable feed as this eliminates any splitters, extra cable and any other equipment.

You won't pick up all of the channels with a splitter on your cable line when you're scanning. Once you've done the scan and have all of the channels you can then connect things up with the splitters etc.
