Hey,
I've searched the forum many many times but I still can't find the answer. I have a floppyDTV, blue zeta cam, Vista32, Tvpack2008, DE Beta Drivers. I have a funcard4 and 5 with the box key, a random IRD, a random CAM ID, the latest keys and the Nov 08 AU TW fix. FTA channels work fine and I have 500 channels on both FireDTV and VMC and have left FireDTV on Sky Sports for 30 minutes+ and still no decryption. Please, can someone tell me what i'm missing? Do I need to wait longer? Have I messed up the funcard? |

Which firmware are you using on your CAM? I had 17 channels that didn't work using Joker 0.79 (they'd come up with a "scrambled" message) - Sky Sports 2, 3 and Xtra were in the list that didn't work. I've since changed to Joker 0.80 and now I'm down to a couple of channels that have audio but no video (but all the sports channels work). Not sure if this is any help, but just a thought.
What are the specs of the PC you're running Media Centre on? Also, how many times is your cable feed being split before it ends up in your Floppy? Have you tried just putting the initial main feed in for a minute to see if the splitting is causing the stuttering? Good luck mate.

PC: Q6600 Quad, 4gb ram, GF 9500GT, all latest software
F-DTV: Blue Zeta with v2c272x, funcard4 AU nov fix, CA on "NAG". Cable is split twice before entering the computer from the line into the house. Software decryption (Vplug) is almost flawless on every channel. The internet gives me three possibilities. 1. The CAM is crashing causing the freezes. 2. Weak Signal. 3. Video codecs (I doubt this one). I haven't bothered updating the floppy firmware, I don't think that could be it. In the middle of reflashing the CAM in the hope it fixes it. For the stutter: Check your firewire connection. It's worth doing the FDTV firmware upgrade. There was some Microsoft fix for firewire, also.
For the encrypted channels - check your CAM Boxkey and Funcard boxkey match. |

box key was obtained from floppyDTV CommonInterface.exe so I would assume it is the correct key. Updated the Floppy firmware. Got every update for vista. Signal strength from my cable modem (on same line) is good. Still having problems. Almost ready to give up, the only thing stopping me giving up is the fact i've spent money on this.
CommonInterface.exe seems to repeatedly show "Module Detached", almost like an endless cycle of restarting the CAM. Is this normal? and if so, what is the reason? The picture (ie. sky sports) shows from about a minute then freezes for about 5 minutes...and repeats. |

Both my BlueZeta's show as a cycle of Initialising / Detached in CI Interface, so I assume this is normal.
Assuming you haven't changed your Boxkey manually, it should be the one listed here for a Black Icecrypt: _http://www.lefdata.com/satellite/cam/ci.html I've got a spare Icecrypt CAM flashed with Joker 0.79 (it works fine, just can't seem to flash it to anything else). If you PM me your address I can loan this to you to try, if you want. Might help narrow down the problem without you spending anything else? By the way, nice PC specs! I was initialling wondering if your hardware wasn't up to it (Pentium 3 anyone?) but that's certainly not the case with the monster you've got mate. While it's your choice on giving up or not, I'd advise sticking with it as you seem to have your head around the concepts and I'm sure you're only one problem away from perfection, we just need to find that one problem.

Re: Stuttering.
I used to have awful stuttering every time my PC used the internet connection (strange but true) Replaced my 3 into 1 splitter with a 2 into 1 and the problem completely disappeared. |

been playing with this all weekend and still in the same position.
-Removed all splitters from the line, still freezing. -Tried mytheatre, not entirely impressed, didn't find any channels, even with a dbox services file. Doesn't recognise CAM. -Ritzdvb and Progdvb both refuse to start on Vista and Windows 7 (winxp won't install). -DVBDream shows the same freeze after 5 minutes with signal strength at full (100) although before the freeze the video buffer seems to drop which could probably be caused by poor decryption speed (CAM...maybe). -FireDTV Viewer shows full signal during freeze. During scanning, signal strength on sky channels is typically 3/4 of the bar (reasonable) So i'm going to blame the cam for the time being. Thanks Stu, your right, I should refuse to be beaten by this floppy! but it does put up a good fight. |
