Hi,
does anyone recomend a system for a complete beginer i was looking at a motorised fortec star HD kit from maplins. Is this any good or can some one advise me of a better system for a beginerwith cost in mind thanks jay

well the fortec kit i mentioned is £250 so in the region of that

For £300 you could get the Octagon SF918 HD with 80cm motorised dish or £330 with a 100cm dish - it all depends on what you want out of a system?

Just read what had posted before and you did state it was for a motorised dish sorry i should take more notice of what i'm reading. I've been reading through the forum and have come to the conclusion that fortec star isn't my best option. But i've not come accross anything about the octagon. can you enlighten me about it for starter's is it fool proof.(user friendly) thanks jay
