Default Problems with Ambit 200

Hi guys, I have an ambit 200 that went down on me the other night so i got a tutorial off the wizardmods toolbar so i could get it back up and running again and followed it step by step, but when i got so far it came up with a mac address with de:ad as the middle four characters on hyper terminal. I have just tried it again and now the modem will not connect to hyperterminal. I am using a max232 lead but i am not getting anywhere. Does anybody know what this means and how i can get my modem back up and running.

hi mate, so you flased the wrong firmware onto the modem? i think these take the sb5100 mod to tell you the truth......hopefull bad_ad may be along to advise what's needed with these, either a tsop lift or some thing else.......

most of these modems have a tsop that wont support a 3rd party firmware.

also the jtag points are a pain.

i always replace the tsop on these and program it before i place it.
