Hi folks-I have bought a HD tv which I would like to use to it's full potential. I am obviously aware of the HD package available on Sky but would like to explore the possibilities of picking up freeview HD channels via my other dish which covers the sattelites from Thor to Astra 1/2. I appreciate that my current 5200 box will not pick up the HD channels and may need to replace it. Can you advise how best to approach it. I am in Ireland-Lat.53.20.35N and Lon. 7.03.20W.
Can you also advise which HD "Freeview" channels are currently available.

TM6800 HD will receive all FTA HD broadcasts and would be a good addition to your kit. Ideal for HD programming on Astra2 and other sats.
Don't confuse 'freeview' as fta as freeview refers to the DVB-T broadcasts in the UK. Last edited by satelliteman; 14-02-09 at 07:10 PM. Reason: typo |
