Default Technomate for a newbie

Hi guys been doing a lot of reading over the last few weeks to try and decide on what satellite setup to get I have decided on a Technomate TM-6900 HD and have a couple of niggling questions......

I want to set up a motorized dish if I point the dish to 28.2e or used my old skydish can I receive all the FTA channels ie the freesat channels

I have seen some receivers that have built in multicrypt that decrypt some channels on various satellites does the technomate have this function?

If so will I need a cam if not and I need a cam will the CAS3 programmer software run on a Mac or under Linux?

Thanks

Hi,
yes, you can receive all the Freesat channels on a TM6900, eith a dish pointing at 28E.

The Tm6900 has a multicrypt card slot and also two CAM slots. There's not a great deal open at the moment with TM patches,

The Diablo/CAS3 will not work with a Mac. EDIT ( Derr, yes is does read post by crewey)

Edit:

I don't know whether it works with Linux.

With my MAC I use VMware fusion & a 'tiny' XP installed just for the purpose of updating my diablo, works fine as long as the USB is plugged into the extra 1.1 keyboard port and not one of the main 2.0 Ports otherwise I get a connection error (Possibly too fast for the programmer/CAM) It works perfectly, also I believe Virtualbox is free which is just as efficient as Vmware.

Yes, the card slot will work with Gamma, M2+ cards etc, so I'm told.
