Ok how do I find out if I'm in a pure ntl area? I'm in the nottinghamshire area.

Yes it is a virgin/ntl one.

If I reset the box it wont mess it up will it?

DSL ZoneUK - ntl Region checker Type your postcode in where it says (all as one. Eg 1234ABC) and click check. If it says Original NTL then you are in Pure. If you are in Pure then no it won't mess anything up because it will reset the Net ID itself. If you are in Ex C & W or Telewest you will need a Funcard or ATMega to reset everything.

i can get into the engineers menu but i cant scroll down to change the pin.... the box wont reset so i cannont access pin?

Did you reset the box? Standby, Left, Right, Ok, plug in power, release buttons when you see LD:06 and then let the box reboot.

the numbers come up really fast... it will be a while before ld06 comes up

Yeah, make sure you are holding all four buttons as you plug the power in, the box will hang on LD:06 until you release them. Get someone else to plug the power cable in if you need to, this will make it alot easier.
