Default Problem with 7250i

I've got a problem with my 7250i. The right selection key on my fone has been set to "go to". But whenever i push that key, the phone or the sim card is triggered to be reset. Nothing is shown on the screen except the battery meter. And then after 10 sec or so, its back to normal.

The strange thing is that i havent been able to modify the settings of the right selection key. Whether i try to do it from "Personal Shortcuts" or from "Go To" menu, the above mentioned trigger is always activated. Can anyone figure out what the problem with my fone is? and how can it be solved?

Try taking the cover off and blow out the dirt from the contacts where the buttons are.....don't use an airline.
Although I would say its corrupt software (firmware) so take it into a Nokia repair shop and get it re flashed, ask them to leave the media on there if they can (most service centers can do that) if it has a valid warranty it will be free..............has it got wet at any time? dropped maybe?

I also sorted out your double post as well.

Sorry folks I'm not getting on here much ATM

I agree with you bonzo. I also expected to be a problem with the firmware, to be the worst. Never been plunged into water. Dropped once or twice though but the problem came up even before that.

The bad news is that its no more under warranty.

Anyway. I'll get it done as soon i find an economical solution. Thanks for your help Bob.

If you can get your hands on a "cheap china flasher" I have the edited software to flash later DCT 4 phones like the 7250i. There old now so should be able to pick one up for peanuts with cables, needs WIN 98 to run it but it works no problem..........easy to do as well. Where abouts are you m8?

Old link but this is what you need http://www.gsmdevice.com/products/dct4.htm

Hey stevo, been called a lot of things in my day m8 but never a star
