eurovox 5100 - Standby Issue - Lost Recordings

Hi All

Couple of issues with my new Eurovox 5100 with 120gb Hard Disk. I've had it about a week now and around 5 out of the 7 nights this week I've woken in the morning to find the unit in Standby, which I never put it in when I went to sleep. I take it out of standby using the remote but nothing appears on the TV and I cannot change channels, it seems to have locked itself. The only way I can sort it out is to power off using the switch behind the box and restart.

When this Standby issue happened the first couple times I lost all my recordings that I had made. I've removed and reinserted the hard disk a few times and it didn't loose any recordings this time round so I'll keep an eye on that. But could anyone explain standby issue.
