Default Sony Ericsson W880i

Got a Sony Ericsson W880i that keeps going wrong, turning off without warning taking ages to send a txt etc etc, it done similar in the first year and was repaired under the guarentee, can the software for it be re installed, do remember I aint got a clue with this

yesthe software can be rflashed onto the phone, have you tried a factory reset first,

A word of warning though, if it turns out that the problem is hardware related, then the may may not accept firmware, which means any attempt to flash the phone may result in a dead phone.

you could reflash the handset... you will need setool though.
just flash main/and fs file and tick complete phone in settings

Just installed "Sony Ericsson Update Service" on my pc, is this to flash the phone?? what is and where do I get setool??

No, that just updates the phone. Use SETool or Phone XS to reflash using generic firmware (this will debrand the phone as well). Don't forget to finalize or your phone will not work.

Default How to Unlock Sony Ericsson W880i

Hi

I have mobile unlocking shop in india.One of my custemer came from uk. Bring his Sony Ericsson W880i. He wants to use his mobile in indian local network. SO i try to get the unlock instrucitons for his mobile. I find the site MobileUnlockGuide.com there i got the unlocking instrcutions for Sony Ericsson W880i. But it says i need unlock code to unlock his mobile. So i try to get the unlock code for his mobile. from varius sites. All are very expensive. I need chepeast good working code. can u provide me code for his mobile? or else can u know where i get the code?and can u gauranty how it will work?

Why don't you just patch unlock the phone for free? All you need is the USB cable (that you get with the phone) and SETool. You could also use and SETool3 Unlocker Box but this is expensive if you are just going to unlock one phone, it costs around £90.

Your not a very good mobile shop if you can't unlock the k880 tbh.

Try being honest with the guy and explain your having problems, you'll probably find instead of bricking his phone he'll respect you for being honest.

You run the risk of having to fork out for a new phone if you brick his, not to mention needing to have to buy either sim free or an unlocked one this time.
