Hi, i have a 4000 which i managed to get numbers off and i theyre correct cause i programmed a card and it gave me all channels but i realised there was a pin on it and i couldnt work it out. so i pulled red jumper even removed cmos but netid sets random and not 09999 i even tried without cable feed.
i programmed fruncard with net id and in eng menu i chekd freq is correct and then goto net id and enter card it reboots and displays nit but comes up with er 12 then er 11 then er20 i checkd in event viewer and it said cant lock onto freq for nit stored? when it does reboot it gets to ap52 and stops. i can try with jtag but ever since box was updated it says cannot enter background mode. do i have to boot to diag menu since its been updated? pls if someone can giv me some advice pls that would be great if its possible would like to do it with funcard less complicated that way THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME |

I also had this issue with this box...
The funcard method would not work, no matter how many times I tried. Eventually I had to set my net id by using a scart to rs232 adaptor, which works 1st time all the time. Regards, Beatbox

Hello Mikie64,
you can get one from fleetcomputersystems, unapit, tailor made circuits and possibly lincsat. Assuming you have the box's details, I'd recommend you try the funcard method. Otherwise, you'll have a piece of kit lying around after a single use. I'm a fellow noob, it worked fine for me |

I had the exact same prob on a 4000, no matter how many times I tried just could not reset netid and as the above poster only managed to set it via the serial to scart adapter and libby, I had one lying about so didnt need to buy one but you coud try the jtag method for setting netid if you have a jtag that is. Regards |
