Default Do you need Max323 to put new firmware on already hacked modem?

Hey,

I'm going to buy one online (ebay). And just want to know can I load the firmware without the Max232 once it has already been hacked? Oh and can I also add a mac onto it without the cable

Thanks

Yes to both questions

(although you will need to be at least semi on line(VM activation page) to sniff for macs).

(and like I say, do as per PM, much better)

Well if you buy one pre-hacked then obviously you won't need to load a firmware onto it will you?!

You can change the mac with ambit config tool if you know the telnet logon username and password, or using the web interface....192.168.100.1:[port] the port varies depending on the fw installed

Default username and password depends on what modem you have, and what firmware was used.

Try admin : infinite if its a 250/255 with infinite fw.

@Bad_Ad84, thanks didn't know that, not used haxorware yet.

cheers, fitz
