Depends if its still authorised. I very much doubt its going to give you anything interesting.

Give it a try - you havent anything to lose apart from a few hours of your time. At a guess the gee gees on 5E would be worth having a look at

I don't know how long it'll last but it's decrypting the SiS channels on 5e
My horse racing dosen't really extend beyond a £10 bet on the grand national so it's a bit of a damp squib

Unfourtunatly my phone's DATA cable has snapped so no chance of any pictures until i get round to buying a new one
(And there's a VERY long list of things more important for me to get first)

Also Having done some Digging it can decode Soft encrypted Powervu Channels aswell

Hi all.

Is it decrypting the SIS pics and by that do you mean RAW feed SIS or just normal SIS ? I am new to satellites etc but i have heard of people receiving RAW feeds for SIS horse racing which i thought was impossible and probably illegal. Is this actually possible or is it all pie in the sky ?

cheers.

Until a few years ago the SIS feeds were transmitted in the clear and therefore were quite legal to view in the home. SIS started encrypting them when it was realised the bookies were starting to lose money due to the inrun betting lads having access to the same feeds the bookies were using!

I had heard about that alright.
Is it actually illegal now for people to be receiving the codes from "whatever source" and viewing the decrypted pictures i.e. RAW feed ?

As i am sure you are aware there are a number of people who pay for the codes to obtain an in-running advantage on horse racing. Surely this can only come from the company who set up the encryption .

Thats a tricky one - the punters are paying a lot of money (£1000's) for the decryption codes, and someone within the SIS transmission chain has to be leaking them out. If the codes are coming from high up the chain then you would have to say its tolerated as they are making more money from it.

If they are coming from someone just making a few bucks on the side then it illegal.

All guesswork and hypothetical and let me add this - Ive been approached a good few times over the years by inrun betting lads wanting the feeds advantage with the promise of good money if I can provide info. Im still waiting for the first cheque to pop through the letter box so Im still working running a run down computer system in one of the local high schools!...
