Basically i got this letter today saying that they will be bringing in Digital Tv in the area by the weekend. Now my question is since I'm using the eurovox tx mmds will i have to purchase a new box?

They said they are upgrading it to digital at the moment I'm receiving it by using the aerial at the top. "please note that the service on your current box will cease on the 22nd February"

Hmmm sounds like ur from ireland we just get cable from underground no aerial business so not too sure im afraid.

If they are cutting the MMDS signal in your area then yes your TX box won't work after that date.
However, don't rush into buying a new box as the cable co. is currently rolling out an upgrade encryption service in Ireland. As and when they wire your house for cable - see if you can borrow a mates box to see if it works. If it does then go ahead buy one, if it doesn't then you haven't wasted any money

I think you are experiencing what all the UK are experiencing region by region they are shutting down the analogue signals over a time period,so yes you will need equipment capable of recieving digital signals,dont know how your system works as ours in the mainland uk is all underground cabling as was stated in an earlier post ...I doubt that your alone in this,I just cant imagine they are just going to cut everyone off and leave them with no signal at all, nothing much you can do really except wait and see what the situation is on the 23rd ....keep us informed .....
