Default MDAPI 2008 for Mediaportal

Seeing as how Media Portal is becoming more mainstream this is a link to the new MDAPI code. This is what allows you to use a softcam inside of media portal.

You can now use multiple softcams for mutilple cards. This would allow you to use NDSCAM and VPLUG together allowing you to watch sky via car£$%ring and Vir£$n via softcam all on the same machine which can be streamed to multiple clients.

I have allways used the original Russian DLL from Agarwal which only supported 1 active MDAPI but have stared using this new code form "heerfort" on one card only under VPLUG and its stable. I have expermented with multiple DVB-C's and it works. Stablity is not confirmed time will tell and I expect alot.

If anyone is using it with multiple cards let us know how you are doing stability wise.

The other forum I got it from came with the following important piece of advice. Make sure you select only 1 channel under the cam menu in the media portal TV server. (one transponder per DVB)

Got this working now, After several reboots, and retries the plugin appeared in my toolbar.

I then edited the .XML in the MDPlugins Folder to that of my card, and copied in my vplug settings, and all is working well.

Thanks,

Mac.
