Default EX7000hd+

Hi guys

well what a bad week im having, 1st of all i havnt recieved a £300 pound phone i bought off ebay which im getting nervous about and now i revieved my box from dvbjunkie and the bloody thing dont work

It came from parcelforce on wednesday and thought great, took it out the box, plugged it in, screen come on with all the usual and thought great, went to scan and nothing, well actually got to 2% and froze, rebooted the box, tried another deep scan, got to 2% and did same again. By this time with the week ive had its done my nut in.

So thoght before i get mad il try other scans and same again through the lot. Well i have a dreambox also so thought il give it a scan and see my cable is ok, Fine!!

My mate lives about 30 miles away and is on the old NTL (im on TW), and read somewhere the tuners are a bit naff so thought i wonder. Took it 2 him and same again. Absolutely nothing. As a final test the box came with newest firmware so i thought id stick the older 1 on to see if makes a difference. Same again nothing.

So my question is do you all think this box is faulty, and if so how the hell do i get in touch with DVB other than there crappy helpdesk in which btw they dont answer. Is this another dodgy company on the net with 0% customer services or not?

Ive done everything to try and get this to work with no joy at all and what makes things worse is suppliers dont answer or supply a contact number to send it back.

Some 1 please help.

Wink Re: EX7000hd+

with regards to your post to think that your box may well be faulty , its not dvb junkie its the bloody post cause similar thing happened to me , i had a faulty display and then the remote packed up on me , i contacted dvb junkie thro there helpdesk , and they sorted it ou no problem i got new display and remote and cause i opened up my box he still honoured the waranty , so just give him chance and im sure he will sort it for you . the post people just dont give a damn when handleling stuff like these boxes as i know from experiance . p.s just a thought you have registered on dvb junkies site , cause if not you will need to then they will definately respond to your query.

When you've been established long enough you could PM Zemme on the forum.

In the meantime, try doing a factory reset on the box and see if that helps

thanks for quick replies guys, i wouldnt be suprised if it was the post 2bh, ive worked for a parcel centre and people nowadays just dont give a damn.

Ive tried that lincsat as on old eurovoxes when lost chans i used to do it to fix the problem. I really believe the box is faulty and hope dvb honur me this with postage costs as this is clearly not my fault.

If im really honest with you i was hoping you were gonna say FW issue but like me you dont think it is do you.

Damn what a crap week..

I sympathize mate. It's a horrible feeling when you've been looking forward to something, it arrives and it doesn't work.

However, I'm sure you'll get it sorted - I got mine from the same place and haven't had a problem thus far.

Keep your chin up.

My box works fine using my cable connection but also froze up whilst doing a deep scan at my brothers house. It worked fine though at his house with the 'fast installation'.
