Default Intialling scanning for channels without a box

Hey guys.

This is a noob question and i apologise in advance but i have done a search but come back without an answer.

I have a very old isolator box in my house that i was hoping to connect to a eurovox box. I havent bought the box yet and connected to isolator box to my tv to do a channel scan to see if the isolator box was still receiving a live feed as i read in the FAQ. My question is if my box/feed was live what channels would i expect to pick up? I presume it would be channels 1-5 but also would they be good quality if the feed was live?

Thanks in advance

ok cheers i've basically received nothing apart from some fuzzy channels (1-5) that could just be picked up by the aerial lead so i guess the isolator box isn't live

yes, isolater cable with a f on end stright to tv

most areas have cut the a-feed off mate

but you should get

ch5
bbc news channel
bbc1
jetix

and itv, thats the only ones i can get now of the feed

if you are getting nothing, then your feed is dead. check outside in the omi, see if still connected there for one

Cheers seamouse thats pretty much what i suspected. I'm getting nothing at all from the box not even channels 1-5. I've checked inside the drop box outside and the cables are still connected so i presume the feed is dead.

Wonder if i can join Virgin then cancel within the cooling off period.....
