Default Modem Resetting, Bandwidth request failure!

Hi All,
First post and forgive me if this information is available in another post but i have read 5+ pages of forum posts and have not found the information I am looking for.

I have cheated a little with my modem cloning and have to admit i have not done nearly enough research to understand how all this works. I simply bought a modem off ebay with the Infinite firmware scanned for some mac addresses at a friend’s house and followed the guide that came with my modem to get online.

This worked for a number of months without any problems, i recently had to purchase a new modem and after i gave it a valid MAC again worked without any problems for number days until 2 nights ago when the modem started to continually reset.

I am able to get internet access for a few minutes and the modem will reset. If i logon to the console via telnet i can see the modem displaying the error:
Bandwidth request failure! Status = 0

I also see an event Logging Event: Received response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance opportunities received t4 timeout.
The modem them scans for the DS channel and locks on and i get internet access again for a few minutes.

Any hints or tips would be appreciated

Sounds like you need to change the MAC, the one your using might be in the same UBR
