Default USB not working...any help greatly appreciated

Hi, as the title suggests i am having problems with my usb ports. None of them are working; whenever i connect any device via usb nothing is being recognised or anything.

I really have no clue what the problem is, its been like this for a little while but I have been mainly using my laptop so it was not much of a problem but i really need to transfer some files to my laptop.

If anyone could give me some help I would greatly appreciate it.

Many thanks.

Riz

You made sure the USB ports are installed correctly? You may need to install a chipset driver for your motherboard.

look in your device manager, and see if there is a yellow ? against your usb roots, you may not have the correct drivers installed
