haxorware forces the CPE to 99

which means 99 ip addresses (in theory at least, its realistically more like 16 or something) on any mac/config.

you can also change this by hand via telnet on all firmwares, but will need to be done on each reboot.

Thanks for that. Unfortunatly i have the Infinite firmware on my modem and have no way of upgrading until i get a cable. And since im a student. Not happening soon lol.
Its just im thinking. I should be able to connect it to a switch and it will assign a different IP to each computer. Yes?
I do have a router but want to experiment around with the hardware i currently have.

very intersting, can you explain how this is possible on infinite. Does this mean we not need a router? just a switch?
How to set up seperate ip adresses?

Many thanks for help & advice

cd /cm_hal/
cpe_max 32

also, seems haxorware forces cpe to 32 not 99, my mistake.
