Test systerm : Window XP
1. check the mounts profile all right, MENU－high setting – mounts setting.IP is your PC ‘ s IP, Dir must write “Dreambox localdir “ and “/var/mnt/hdd , the options must choose “RW”or can’t record the program. The “EXTRA” which as bellow don’t worry about that, the default is ok. User/pass can arbitrariness to write,bcz while the DVR recording have never validate your PC code.the last must point the blue keyto save,and then point ok as same as last step,the DM500 have so many like this steop

2.When you have confirmed your PC have mount with DM500, but can’t record program ,you must check your PC setting ,you must found one file name “Dreambox “ ,the in the Dreambox file ,found one file name “movie”, must take the Dreambox file setting for “sharing”. Warring : when you sharing by internet , must select this option : ALLOW THE net user change my file . I have mistake in there , other is ok, but don’t select this option, so the record file can’t write this file . to appear the memory is lack. And the record is fail ,but when I change this file name ,it’s ok

warring : when you set them , all file ,include all path must right,bcz those are default parameter ,this mode is via VDR record program, when recording program, it will be have mosaic while open Dreambox ,browse or control DM500 menu from TV.so you’d better when you set star record program ,don’t use the dreambox 500 menu ,and the effect is very well

If have some problem when VDR, when the record file more than 1GB , the system will auto found other file to save,such as record long time . it auto found some small file when the record file big, but watching in DM500 reply , you can see only one file ,not so many.

excellent tut for someone with a dreambox......most use pc dvb-c cards in this section, may be better off posting here
