Media Portal Harmony remote & cable

Hi guys not been on here for a long time. Have a htpc running media portal (4 tb full so far ) and have just ordered a harmony 1000 remote to control all of my devices. I currently have a dbox for my cable channels but it occured to me that my channel order would not be in the same order as a v box for programming the harmony, I mean like taking the preloaded profile for virgin from the logitech site wouldnt work as my bbc1 is channel 01 rather than virgins 101. Anyway is it possible just to add a tv card and configure my cable viewing through my htpc? would this upscale using my systems hdmi connection? would be great if it did, means I can dump the dbox. Any advice appreciated
