Default Is it possible to turn off/mute LCD display on a V+ box?

Hi,

Does anyone know if you are able to switch off or mute the LCD display on a scientific atalanta 8300 (Virgin V+ box). When watching movies, the blue LED's from display are really distracting? I can switch off the display on other components. Is there a menu setting that does same thing on a V+?

heh, i'm a perfectionist..... i know what he means about it being annoying. BUT.... its only annoying when you look at it!

it is really easy to remove the led thou. the lid comes off, then the front, then theres about 4 screws holding the pcb to the front, undo these and the led you want to remove is called "online". just touch the solder blobs a few times with the iron while you pull on the led. it just comes off.
