Default Quick newbie question

I have a modem 250 when i put it on the network and log into 192.168.100.1 via http i get a webpage with all the values and 2 options modem and tools only setting i can change is reset to default settings.

My question is do i need to flash my modem so far forcing settings via dhcp force isnt working all i get is the web page saying my modem isnt recognised.

any ideas ?

ntl logo in the left hand side and the options in the menu on the left are

information , status , downstream, upstream, upstream burst, operation config , event log.

cant change any of the setting just view them, also trying to use ambit config tool over a ethernet cable i get tcp conection failure.

you would need to put some new firmware on the modem, i'd go for haxor and stay away from infinite...once you have this new firmware on your modem then this is when you can change settings etc etc....

cheers am prettty new to this a have another modem with the virgin logo on but cant get into it as the user name and password is chaned i am presuming to patch it i need a max 232 lead, any chance you can point me in the direction of where to get a none trojand version of haxor .

yeah that's the way forward.....none trojand version of haxor can be supplied one you have the lead.... poor haxor, if there attaching trojans to it...

they send you a message from nigeria and you have to pay them 1000 pound for them to send you the binkey.....ok, i've been drinking i have no idea...lololol they cant.....lololol
