Eurobird 9A (the former Hotbird 7A has been lit up at 9E and by god shes putting a strong signal in!!

All traffic from Eurobird 9 (ex Hottie 2) was transferred over yesterday & even on my horribly misaligned 9E lnb Im getting signal strengths of around 90%

According to the satellite tracking site I use EB9 is on the move eastwards already, so Eutelsat are not hanging around getting her redeployed elsewhere.

I know the Indian lads with dishes on 13E are bitterly disappointed to lose Hotbird 7A from 13E - she put reasonable signals into parts of Pakistan & India, far better than the replacement HB9!

Any idea where she is going
i have a feeling 16e is a possibilty

My money is on 16E as well.

Hmm i wonder if the reception of 16e will be any better if thats where she ends up

Is eurobird nine the former Hotbird 2 or 5?

Hotbird 10 - testing

With the brand new Hotbirds 8 9 & 10 having an at least 15 year lifespan it will be a long time before we see Hotbird 11 in service!
