Default Sat meter and Quattro LNB

Just a quick one. When setting up with a quattro and multiswitch, is it just a case of plugging the meter into any of the outputs of the lnb to line up the dish or do you need a special meter ? If so will probably line the dish up with a normal lnb and then swap the quattro on.

Thanks, Rick

Suppose it depends on the meter. If you can select the polarity and/or high or low band then use the meter selected to the correct setting and connected to the corresponding o/p on the lnb. If no selection on the meter then I don't know.

Thanks Charlie. Think i'll probably set the dish up with a single lnb, then swap the Quattro on as I only have a basic meter.

I usually setup on Transponder 48 from the VL output on the lnb or Transponder 4 on the HL output.

Thats OK but final lnb skew adjustment might be a bit tricky.

Failing that, if the multiswitch isn't too far away and you can definately identify which cable is which out of the 4 you can always just connect your meter to the multiswitch output and then setup as if using a normal lnb

Thanks Nano

I can run a temporary cable from the multi switch for setting up, so think that will be the way to go if my meter won't work with one of the quattro outputs.
