Hey guys,
Working on a 250 that I flashed with haxorware10rc3_Ambit250_fullflash.bin which has dropped connectivity after being used in another UBR! Brief history: I flashed the box myself and used it for months at my home UBR without failure. Last Friday I gave the flashed unit to a guy in another UBR and took his unflashed box away. When I set up the 250 at his home it worked fine. He reported to me on Monday that after intermittent connection it suddenly failed to connect. MAC I thought! So I went over to day to put a new one on only to find that no matter what I tried nothing was happening. The LED sequence is this: POWER LED ON STEADY USB LED ON STEADY ETHERNET LED AND RECIEVE LED FLASHING NO SEND LED Again I thought my list of MACS were outdated so I took the unit home and still the same sequence and no connection. I reflashed - still nothing. I restored the bootloader to 2.1.6d.bin via softjtag and and flashed with Haxorware again. Still the same. I also tried the MAC from my own modem (which I'm using now) that I know is working and still nothing. I can still get the P Option alright. Can anyone shed any light on this matter for me? I should mention that his line is a valid one that he pays £10 a month for and this is the only possible thing that I keep going back to in my head. Puzzled. Thanks in advance. |

recieve light = not locking to freq.
if you looked on the status page it would tell you this as well. bad signal, crappy splitters, crappy wire, different network at his house. also rc3 is very old, update and stop using 2mb dumps. |

We can rule each of these out: Bad Signal: Never Had a signal strength problem before nor do I on the 200 that I am using at present; Crappy Splitters: Not using any Crappy Wire: Installed by Virgin Media a few years ago and never caused a problem to date (Besides would be weird to find that he and I both suffered these same problems) Can you point me to an updated Haxorware version? |

Thanks mate.
Was just reading over your thread here Haxorware Problems Installing and found it very interesting. Fair play to you. So can I load the latest firmware into memory and flash from there? I have reverted this 250 back to the BOOTLOADER-2.1.6d.bin so as to try again and, as you advised, stop using the 2meg dumps, which I now understand why you suggest this!
