Smile Eurovox interference with broad band

Hello all new to the site
can i just start by saying my understanding of all things tech/computers is limited
but this site has been excellent in the help it has given to me, if you are willing to read through a few threads and posts you normally get the answer. THANKS TO ALL

Heres the problem
eurovox max seems to be stopping my internet connection from working.
has been set up for 1 year with no probs.if i disconnect the signal feed from the back of the box internet returns can"t have both on.
the only other thing that has been changed in the last few months is iam using a wireless router with my computer.
thanks again

ok so let me get this right...

this cuts your net off and you cant use it at all?

is your set like this?

main feed to splitter, then one to vox, one to modem then modem networked to router?

or is it adsl broadband?

have you tried swopping the cable from the modem and vox round? as there is no way a vox can stop your modem from working, sounds like to me a doggy splitter OR your signal is so weak, it cant run both

go to 192.168.100.1

from your modem, no router and pm or post your signal levels

hello, im afraid we need more information....

is your access to the WWW permantley disconnected whilst your TV box is connected, or is it tempremental?

when you lose access to the WWW, what do you do to restore access, (must work as you have posted on forum)

if tempremental, have you removed router from your BB connection, to see if all ok, is router open, or locked down?

please reply, we will help you

regards

check cable from splitter to cable modem, for crossing of copper wire from outer to inner core

if you have swapped modem's, and its still happening, pretty much ruled out everything except cable.

what happens when you remove splitter, and run modem and router direct from pure feed?

also, could be a bad power supply to modem, if ALL lights are out on modem, do you have another transformer to test

regards

Question Re: Eurovox interference with broad band

thanks for info seamouse/siffion
checked router all fine.
reset connection minus the splitter, everything seems to be fine.
are there different types of splitters, the 1 being used for (1yr) spec;slx27902 5-2400mhz had no probs, until now.
could signal strength be to high or to low?
cheers
