Default Did VM cancel MAC after using DHCP sniffer?

Hi, 2 days ago I was using DHCP sniffer to find some 20Mb macs ( modem MAC I was using was 20Mb mac) sniffed for about an hour using Lee-ds method in his post.
Yesterday changed to different mac after getting capped, then today went back to other 20Mb mac but all I got was virgin page with a link to "click here to start enabling this modem"
Did VM trace and blacklist / cancel the other mac due to Brute force being used on it?
Or just coincidence that other mac user cancelled their connection?

Dunno but in future when sniffing I'm only gonna use a 2Mb mac !!!

you can brute force from the reg page, so why would they do that?

its more likely something to do with your ethernet mac address keep being associated with "multi modems" (i.e cloned macs), stop switching your macs around like crazy to get around capping (especially when you dont even need to change macs in the first place)

to be honest, stealing service is bad enough, but then to force your way around caps and therefore affecting paying users is just taking the **** imo.

This thread sounds more like what you are doing, rather than VM. lets not try to cause panic and therefore my inbox to get flooded, thanks.

So just a coincidence that the 20Mb mac user cancelled then?

How else can you get around the traffic management other than changing the MAC address?

By using a business config.

NOT the one i use (well used to use)

but then again i had the ORIGONAL MAC with that CONFIG,
and i know that the network was only used during the hours of 9:30am up until 4:30pm <--- thats when i used to switch modems,
Got a modem for during the day (ambit 200) with a 20meg mac (throttled)
which works greeeat THEN WAIT UNTIL the building closed for the night then i would change to my (ambit 250) with the business MAC on it and dowload everything i had waiting in queue in UTorrent

not sure if this is true but if 2 modems with the same mac are connected to the network then the traffic management is reset.

think i heard that round here
