Default 4200 gone down

It's been fine the last few months but now...

Code:

Receive light syncs
Send light syncs
Online attempts and fails immediately
Send light then desyncs
Online continues to blink
Send light there is nothing
Receive light stays synced until modem reboots
I've tried changing macs but still get the same result.

Typing this from library but will be back in a little while (net cafe) cause I've got to bid for a SF4 Fightpad.

Do you think the 4200 is dead and what modem would suggest as the best replacement?

The 4200 right I can't force config although I understand that is dependant on what area you are in. I'm in Stretford here.

Does the 4200 not support hackware, fibreware and various flavours of sigma firmware?

Of course all of these out of date firmwares provide the most important feature. i.e. internet access.

apparently not according to the original post, and theres changes being done which stops them coming online, hence my suggestion.
