Smile pc to tv

hi all can some good soul advice on getting my laptop to to connect to my new tv thanx in advance.

Ummm... depends on what connectors your TV and laptop have! Mine both have VGA sockets so I could just use a VGA-VGA cable. Other TVs have DVI or HDMI inputs, so you'd have to look for VGA-DVI (or VGA-HDMI) cables. Alternatively, some laptops these days come with HDMI sockets, which should make it easier with non-VGA TVs.

if you TV displays "unknown format" then this is normally caused by an unsupported resolution or unsupported signal (digital feed instead of analogue and vice versa).
