Hi Everyone,

I need some serious help, I have been trying to read a MOSC with nagra edit but it had a blocked image so to bypass this so I could get the BK & IRD information without losing the information I ran Sidewinder get my bk software but unfourently the electronic went off at the time the card was reading so once I got everything working again the card don’t seem to detect and if I read it in nagra edit it now comes up with the following message below:

Opening of COM2 was successful
Reset failed
Error resetting card, ATR string invalid
Closing of COM2 was successful

So I wanted to ask if there was anyway around this problem so I can fix this MOSC without losing the BK information from the MOSC if YES please let me know ASAP thanks.

Doubt power failure would kill it outright. You need to have the programmer in phoenix mode, also try cleaning the contacts on the card.

If contacts are clean and all connections are good to your reader then you have an ice scraper m8

He was talking to me about this, he needs the BK from it too as it's from an SA 8300

Do you have another MOSC card to prove your setup is still OK?

Perserverance might be the key m8.. Keep wiping those contacts, and keep inserting!!!
You wouldn't have 'killed' the card (IRD) by doing that...
Y not run mikedata's script on it?

if u get Error resetting card, ATR string invalid and tried every trick of the book and nothing works, is it time to bin it or just hold on to it for a rainny day.

Also check your com port no's and crystal settings for phoenix mode.

What card programmer you using mate?

Close all other programs you have been using, may be com port confict with other software! Easy to overlook these when mind is going in overdrive!

checked everything and am sure that this is atr invalid card, i was askin if it was worth keeping it incase some1 figures out a way to fix them

I would still do as tesla says and test your progger with another card... rom10 or 11 without changing any settings (i.e for funcards) etc... it highly unlikey a power cut has done this whilst working on the card.

There is a script for card with no atr... its not good. Never had any luck with it. Have search, you'll find it.
