Don't bin it if it's "blocked", you can get some "back hand" phone repairers that will change the IMEI but this is illegal. Do you fancy selling the phone? PM me if you do.

I'm not stating how or where to get it done I am just telling him what he could do to fix the phone. It has nothing to do with me what he does with his phone, I am just telling him what he could do.

Fleetwood? Was that a seller from eBay who was located in Fleetwood? If so, there is a chance he/she may have had the phone barred. Read above, it can be fixed but it is illegal to do so.

thanks for the reply I bought it from Fleetwood the town, 3 weeks ago it worked with my Tesco sim for two days then stopped, I went back this weekend but he said it was working when he sold it, trading standards useless and because I paid cash can't complain to credit card company, surfed for ages with no luck tried shop/stalls etc, I was told get it un-locked and sell it for use abroad,,, But if anyone in this forum can help with any advice (besides use it as a camera I would be grateful) My son is 17 and keeps taking the P***, so can anyone help I'm new to this forum so can't PM anyone yet and can't leave my email address?? But the site is great I'm at
b. flannery @virgin.net hope this works and thanks for the time replying |

Sounds like the seller had it barred mate, you could sell it to somebody abroad because it would work in another country. No use to you and as I said before, doing what I suggested is highly illegal.

Theres nothing stopping someone claiming against their mobile provider for a replacement, and getting it replaced, when selling a phone. Only thing about it is, when you claim, the network will automatically bar the phone for any further use. I wouldn't agree with what people are recommending you to do, but on the other hand, its an expensive paper-weight. As for your son, kick him up the arse and tell him to buy his own! 17 or not, they should still have respect for their parents, even-more-so when it comes to expensive items such as mobiles! |
