Hi i have a 200 which im trying to jtag ive put the 10 pin header in looks ok the bridge is a bit ruff but its all good practice the trouble is when i start blackcat i dont think its running right the only 1 i can get to run is the free 1 but it says blackcat not connected all the time in the bottom am i using the wrong blackcat if so which 1 do i use and how do i get it to run ?

re-check your soldering m8 then try again?

well the 10 pin header looks ok but i think the bridge is a bit ruff lol

Ambit 200 uses different wiring as shown on any tut i've ever read, i.e SB5100 is shown on most tuts but completely diff to ambit200 (see below)

ambit 200 jtag cable
IDE/C - Parallel
pin 1 = 22,23,24,25
pin 2 = 6
pin 3 = not used
pin 4 = 8
pin 5 = not used
pin 6 = 11
pin 7 = not used
pin 8 = 7
pin 9 = not used
pin 10 = 9

m8 don't even try the triangle of masking tape lmao complete nightmare, burns when u put hot solder near it.

Cut a short length of Ribon cable (strip of an old IDE cable) then solder that to each point. Much much easier.

No it's same as 5100, just put header in from other side of the board

i have put the header in from the top is this right and soldered from the back if its wrong well i will try and put it in from the other side then the bin lol

other side if you want to use standard jtag lead

I bought the jtag off ebay it said it was for an ambit with a 10 pin header socket already on it
