Default EX7000 HD PVR problem

I recorded a program last night onto USB pen drive.

When I try to play it I get the message "We cannot play this file!".

On the USB pen drive in a folder called "records" I have 4 files as follows (station name prefix replaced by XXX)

XXX#d66c140f05.001 (906 MB - Windows thinks its a zip file)
XXX#d66c140f05.idx (982 KB)
XXX#d66c140f05.ifo (5 KB)
XXX#d66c140f05.TRP (1,54 GB)

Any suggestions as to what has gone wrong or why it won't play ?

Have you tried moving the files to the HD?

If they won't play there, its likely the files could be corrupted.

Oops - I wasn't quite clear. I meant recording to USB pen drive ! (I'll edit the original post to make it clear)

The EX7000 doesn't have a hard drive.

If the files are corrupted then it doesn't give me much confidence in the next recording working.

Try formatting the usb pen drive, then try to record anything, even if only for 10 mins. Try to play it, if it works.. Formatting issue.

If it doesnt.. Are you using a usb stick thats recommended for use with that box? Sometimes some pen drives can cause probs with the Eurovoxes, especially cheap ones.

I had tried the reboot trick but it didn't solve the problem.

Reformatted the stick using the EX7000. Recording worked fine.
