Is it safe to ring VM up and ask them to "hit" the box? I have cut talkback and modded a card already, will this get me caught?
Thanks. |

i seriously doubt it, they may want to know where the box has come from if they havent supplied it and if its a subbed box your equal as crazy as the question you just asked.
feel free to try it and report back. |

if they sent it to you free why dont you phone them and ask them how to get it up and running. technically they still own it.
what have you done to deserve a free box? edit: how can they send a hit if talkback has been cut? Last edited by safe-cracker; 04-03-09 at 11:49 PM. Reason: added question |

They said it's becuase we have the phone and broadband package and we have always paid up on time :|. I know it sounds weird but that's what they said lol. If I give you the first couple of digits of my Box Key, do you think you can tell me if it's good or not? I have one of the new 2110c boards I think as well because the talkback caps have a different name.

Sometimes it isnt that simple with these boxes.
I had a BK NOT starting with the 6D56 'fake' one, thats had the deac hit sent 2 it, BUT it was not the correct BK for the box. Now I've read somewhere, that they may also just alter the BK randomnly, so that the beginning may look 'ok' after glitching, but the last few digits will have been altered. If you have already removed the t/bk from the box, then is it still possible for them to send the hit successfully? Just wondering... I know its done thru the c.c's feed, but doesnt the box then have to acknowledge the activation by sending a signal BACK to the headend, letting them know that its been done successfully? Regards, Beatbox

Dont think I would have messed with the T/bk just yet on it m8. Just incase..
Not trying to 'noise U up' here m8, your not a newbie, but what made you touch a new subbed box (a 2110 of all boxes), thats not even been activated? Beatbox
