Default Satelite Virgin

Can any body help me please. I have aquired a Eurovox ex8000 HD+, (at the right price). It is connected to an old Sky Dish. And i have no problem in getting channels. But my original reason for getting the box was to get as many HD and 'mainstream' channels as possible. Could someone tell me whether a Cam would get me more of what i want, and what Cam i would need? can i use any kind of Cam? Do i need a 'Smart Card programmer' or will the Cam slot in the reciever be sufficient. (the reciever has an ethernet connector)

On 28e which is where I assume your dish is pointed at you should be able to get BBC HD, ITV HD and Luxe Tv HD. I don't think I missed any but someone will come along and point it out if I have.

If what you are asking is "Can I get free sky ?" the answer is no. Sky encryptipon is totaly secure unlike VM's. No amount of Cam's, Cards or programmers will open Sky. If you had used the search button you would have found the many hundreds of threads explaining this.

As Rick says if you want the pay channels then you need a subscription.
