Dreambox

Hi alll,
I wanted to ask about this dreambox that I bought yesterday. I am aware that it needs to be flashed etc. anyway I've tried alot of things and I'm kinda stuck. Could someone please give me step by step instructions, sorry I'm new to all this :S

Can you FTP? If you can then all you need is an FTP client (I recommend FlashFXP because it's reliable and easy to use) and an RJ45 crossover cable so that you can connect the box to the PC.

connect the Null Modem lead to your PC Com Port and to the back of your DM500/DVB500 - start DreamUp and press the CONNECT button. As soon as DreamUp accepts your COM port – it’ll ask you to switch the box on.

Once the DreamUp program has acknowledged you have a DM500 (or similar) you can ‘Flash’ (upgrade) the software. Simply select the image and press ‘Flash’. You;ll be asked if you want to perform a ‘Flash Erase’ – choose the Ja (yes option). It’’ take between 10 and 15 minutes to do

what image have you installed
